Constructs OF FRAILTY (1998-2001)

Constructs of Frailty
Frailty here references alike patients’ bodies and minds, as well as contemporary systems of medical care. The materials were the stuff of daily life, at a time when I was providing care to a critically ill family member. A goal was to raise awareness and understanding, to cultivate empathy and concern for what happens when attention is not paid. Initially exhibited at Emory University at a conference for health care workers, the installation was also presented at the Rose Art Museum at Brandeis University along with a solemn choral concert.
